The Last Jedi is premiering in the beginning of December, so it is time watch Star Wars again.
Even if you are not a big fan, it is hard to deny that some characters of the franchise can teach you a lesson or two.
Here are the proofs!
1. C-3PO and R2-D2: hold on to your BFFs
It is extremely important to have a best friend. Besties will support you, save you if needed and listen patiently to your endless whimper (your BFF really has no choice if he can communicate only through beeps and clicks).
What’s more important, the true friend is known when in need, like when saving you from robot slave merchants.
2. Luke: stay true to your life commitments
Dedication is crucial. If you have the only and true passion, nothing should drive you astray. Always remember this when a sly smuggler poking fun at your first awkward exercises with a lightsaber.
You are a Jedi, and the force is always with you.
3. Princess Leia: be brave. Always
It is hard to look in the eyes of the embodiment of the Dark Side, and it is even harder to observe your homeworld blasted into smithereens.
However, true courage is what it takes to stand up, take a blaster and shred some storm troopers, while inspiring friends with your strength. One can be both a princess and a fearsome fighter.
4. Yoda: it’s good to have a mentor
“Patience you must have, my young padawan.”
To become a true warrior, you have to be patient, and acquire a forbearing magister, like Yoda. He is an example of a great mentor, who will light your path in darkness and teach you to see thing not only in black and white.
For only a sith deals in absolutes.
5. Jar Jar Binks: everyone matters
Even the weirdest creature in the world can take part in shaping the future of the Galaxy.
Jar Jar was exiled from the tribe just because of simple clumsiness, but ended up in queen’s court thanks to his open heart and helpfulness.
Even if you are a gawky loom, you still can make a difference.
6. Obi-Wan: protect your honor, and do it with humor
An sith can kill a jedi, but he cannot rob a jedi of his honor.
It is hard to find a more honorable jedi than Obi-Wan, and it is even harder to find someone who can effortlessly combine a sense of duty with a light-hearted attitude.
Facing the deadliest of enemies, he is not afraid to laugh at his face.
7. Padmé: be compassionate
What is the most valuable thing in the entire Galaxy? It is empathy.
Padmé became a queen by 14, and since then she was devoted to her lieges and democracy of the Republic.
Even in the hour of death, the queen was concerned about saving her loved ones.
8. Han Solo: do not mind the odds
“Sir, the possibility of successfully navigating an asteroid field is approximately 3,720 to 1.”
“Never tell me the odds.”
Do not let the daunting chances to choke the voice of your heart. 3,720 to 1 are just numbers, but you are the best pilot of the habituated systems jockeying the best ship in the Galaxy.
Odds are insignificant if you find your own “Millenium Falcon”.
9. Finn: stand out from the crowd!
Storm Troopers are not all the same.
While there are guys like Finn, there is also hope. It does not matter which uniform you were forced to wear. In the end, your actions define who you truly are.
10. Darth Vader: there is always a second chance
Vader was on the dark side long enough to let the hatred consume him completely, but in the end he remembered his true nature and reunited with the force.
There is a light even in those who done terrible things.
